Description
Old Olympia Brewery -- Photography by Patricia Strand.
The old Olympia Brewery in Tumwater is an abandoned brick facade sitting above Capitol Lake. The sign on the building reads "Brew House." A new building was built in the 1930s, and production ceased in 2003. The brewery's steam whistle was relocated to a downtown pub and still blows every day at 5:00 on the dot!

What a great sense of time and mass you captured here, Pat. Love that copper roof with the red bricks!!

Thanks, Cliff. This was taken from across the lake. I need to explore how to get closer -- would love to go inside!
